So it’s been a busy, busy time here at Dine for Christy & me. Covers are up, weekends are bouncing and the new menu is going down a treat.
Love was in the air on Valentine’s Day and we were fully booked which was great. The team were on top form and our sharing menu looked great going out. So much so we are looking at doing the sharing starter combo as an option on the new menu for summer.
We than had Mother’s day. Always one of the busiest days of the year and this year was no exception as we had over 250 covers. We find that preparation is the key to success so our Dine Chefs were in early prepping for the busy day ahead. The team was on top form and the food going out looked great. They got their well-deserved beer afterwards!
So what’s coming up next at Dine?
Well Easter is almost upon us. Christy & I are looking forward to giving the kids as much fun as possible. Face Painting, an Eater Egg Hunt, Arts & Crafts Table and also Egg Decorating. Looks like it’s going to be a great day.
Those from Dunfermline may know about the Food & Craft Festival but for those who don’t, it’s a festival that the city puts on every year. This year it is taking place on the 5th & 6th of May, celebrating the city with a range of venues putting things on for all the family to participate in. This year I have heard there is going to be street art, comic creations, cake decorating and cocktail sessions. So obviously Dine wanted to be part of this great festival again. On the Saturday & Sunday 12 – 3pm we will be giving all the family the opportunity to come in and make their own pizza’s and put together their own cheesecakes! Great fun for all the kids!! Better yet, it’s free of charge!
In the Evening we will be taking part in the cocktail trail. Different venues putting on a signature Cocktail for £4. Work your way around each venue sampling all the different cocktails. Great way to spend your Saturday night in my opinion.
On a final note then, Summer is coming around (although by the recent weather it will probably still be snowing in July) so Dine is preparing to launch a more seasonal menu to fit in with the great produce that is available May to October. Some more lighter options available and have a greater summer feel to it. Watch this space to hear about the launch date.
Well back to the grind for me. No rest for the wicked
Neil
